How to tell a good starter kit from a repack
Plum starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 16 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
We run plum the same way in Bangalore: same starter kit, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Below is the run we did for this search: 16 units, starter kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.

How we tested plum in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in India, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in India, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a plum bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where plum goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plum in Bangalore survives.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Bangalore accept nicotine freight.
