How to tell a good pen device from a repack
We run plum the same way in Bangalore: same pen device, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
We run plum the same way in Bangalore: same pen device, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long plum tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plum pen device really costs in Bangalore
Plum in a pen device is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Bangalore the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested plum in a pen device
- Choose strength against the ceiling in India, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 5–10 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plum bottle shipped into Bangalore.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in India, not a suggestion.
Where plum goes wrong
- Mixing plum with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plum in Bangalore survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plum tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for plum in Bangalore must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in India sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Is plum legal to sell in India?
India restricts vaping sales, and state rules differ, so verify locally.
Why does plum taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the plum blend itself harsh.
How long does plum in a pen device last?
In Bangalore we measured 7 to 16 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
